Our critics often point out that Michael Moore has undoubtedly never heard of a site as insignificant as this one. Well, he’s sure going to great pains to make sure that nobody hears about us. Just like Stalin airbrushing his rivals out of photographs, Michael Moore has been censoring the news to make it appear as if his critics don’t exist.
Case in point? Just like we do here, Mike has been reposting articles on his website that pertain to F911. On this page he reposts the entire text of a column from Canada’s CTV News. Here’s the way Mike quotes it.

Both the critics and the audiences have come out for Fahrenheit 9/11. Pulling in almost $22 million US in its first weekend, the film has set a record for a documentary.
Not surprisingly, the mainstream media has cast a skeptical eye on the left-leaning film. And U.S. conservatives are absolutely apoplectic about it.
Both the mainstream news media and conservative advocates have harped on inaccuracies in the film.
Now, here’s the way it appeared on the CTV News website.

COMMENTARY—Both the critics and the audiences have come out for Fahrenheit 9/11. Pulling in almost $22 million US in its first weekend, the film has set a record for a documentary.
Not surprisingly, the mainstream media has cast a skeptical eye on the left-leaning film. And U.S. conservatives are absolutely apoplectic about it. Check out Moorelies.com or Moorewatch.com to see what I mean.
Both the mainstream news media and conservative advocates have harped on inaccuracies in the film. [Emphasis added]
So, even in an article sympathetic to his cause and his message, he feels the need to delete the names of two websites, even though the original article urged people to visit the sites to see US conservatives going “absolutely apoplectic.” Nowhere on Moore’s site does he note that the article was in any way edited or altered, he simply posts it and deletes the parts that he doesn’t like.
What is it about this website that Mike is so afraid of? We’re a couple of doofuses sitting in our living rooms, and he’s the great Michael Moore! Surely he would happily invite his fans to see the lame arguments and distortions that the “wacko attacko” conservatives at MOOREWATCH have been posting, right? We’re so lame and stupid what could he possibly have to fear?
He fears something, obviously. Perhaps that one of you drooling simps will see how completely full of shit he is? Who knows. But ask yourself why Mike is so afraid of this dopey website that he secretively and silently deleted any mention of us from his reposted article. In the history of this site I have reposted a ton of articles, and not one time, EVER, have I so much as changed or deleted a single word. Obviously Mikey cannot make the same claim.
And the crushing of dissent continues.
Oh, for you Moore-ons who will refuse to believe in anything that breaks the illusion of your hero as a tireless champion of the truth, here’s a screen grab of both sites.
Mike might be for a lot of things, but free speech and honestly are not among them. Remember that the next time you buy one of his products. What else has he carefully edited out of what you are reading?
Update: I fixed the bad link above. The link to Mike’s website now goes to Mike’s website.
